Trombone

Ella Buonassisi is a trombonist based in Vancouver, British Columbia. Currently completing her Bachelor of Music in Trombone Performance from the University of British Columbia, Ella began her musical journey as a child on the piano before being drawn to the trombone in her elementary school’s band.

Holding a strong passion for orchestral playing and chamber music, she has performed with various groups in the lower mainland such as the BC Philharmonic, Fraser Valley Symphony, and Basement Brass Quintet . Ella approaches teaching with the core value of having fun in the process of building strong fundamentals, and believes in providing students with tools for success in their musical development which can be applicable in other educational and professional pursuits.
